By making a reservation through this website, you confirm that you accept these Terms and Conditions.
Check-in & Check-out
Guests can check into their rooms after 2:00 pm each day. Guests may arrive earlier and leave their luggage, but access to the rooms will not be granted until after 2:00 pm.
In accordance with Chilean law, we require a valid passport or identification document for guest registration.
Guests checking out must remove all their belongings from their room, check out before 12:00 noon, and return the keys to the reception. After this time, guests can use the luggage storage and other common facilities.
In the case of a late check-out, Palafito Cucao Lodge reserves the right to charge for additional nights at the corresponding rate. Administrative discretion will be applied.
Age Restrictions
Reservations from anyone under 18 years of age are not accepted. Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (over 18 years old) who is a parent or legal guardian.
Guest Behavior
The comfort, safety, and protection of our guests are of utmost importance to us. Any guest who, in the opinion of our staff, compromises the comfort, safety, or protection of other guests, staff, or local residents will be asked to leave the premises and will not be offered a refund. Guests are expected to respect other guests, staff, local residents, and property. In the case of groups, group leaders must ensure that all members of their group behave acceptably. If a group member does not do so, it will result in the expulsion of the entire group.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed inside the Palafito Cucao Lodge premises, except in designated areas such as balconies and terraces. Any guest found smoking inside the building will be asked to stop smoking immediately; if repeated, they will be asked to leave the premises immediately and will not be offered a refund.
Personal Property
Guests are requested to use the room safes to store valuable items and to lock their room door at all times. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that their personal belongings are secure at all times. Palafito Cucao Lodge accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to property.
Palafito Cucao Lodge Property
Guests are expected to reimburse Palafito Cucao Lodge for any accidentally caused damages or inappropriate behavior during their stay at the hotel.
Keys
Upon check-in, guests will receive a key to access their room. These keys must be returned to the reception upon check-out. Failure to do so will result in a charge of US$5, which can be charged to the customer’s credit card.
Liability
The liability of Palafito Cucao Lodge remains at all times limited to the value of the reserved services, excluding any modification fees paid to us.
7.1 The photographic illustrations shown on the website are not legally binding. Although every effort is made to ensure that the photographs, graphic illustrations, and texts describing the hotels on the website provide an accurate description of the accommodation offered, variations are likely to occur, particularly due to furniture renovation and other types of renovations. Customers cannot make any claims due to such changes.
7.2 Palafito Cucao Lodge is not responsible for the non-compliance or improper execution of the reservation in case of force majeure, actions by third parties, actions by the customer or their partners, such as the unavailability of the Internet, inability to access the website, external intrusion, computer viruses, or in the case of unauthorized prepayment by the cardholder’s bank.
7.3 The property shall be held harmless for any consequential damage resulting from these Terms and Conditions, i.e., loss of business, whether due to a third party, the customer, or their partners.
7.4 Hypertext links citing the name of the property may lead to other sites that are not the property’s website; therefore, no responsibility is accepted regarding the content of such other sites or the services offered.
7.5 Any reservation or payment that may be incorrect, ineffective, incomplete, or fraudulent due to the actions or behavior of the customer will result in the cancellation of the reservation for the customer’s account, without prejudice to civil or criminal proceedings that may be taken against the customer.
7.6 The establishment reserves the right to close the website or the online booking area, temporarily or permanently, without prior notice.
7.7 The property shall be held harmless for any damage due to such changes and/or the temporary or permanent closure of all or part of the website or the services therein, such as the online booking area.
Rates
All our rates are net values (excluding VAT) and expressed in Chilean pesos (CLP). Chilean residents in Chile must add 19% for taxes and charges to the published rates.
Personal Information
Palafito Cucao Lodge will only store and use the information provided by you or provided to us in order to fulfill our contract with you and to inform you about other services and offers that we make available to you from time to time. If you do not wish to receive such information, please let us know by contacting customer service or by writing to us at chiloe@palafitocucaolodge.com.
Errors and Omissions
Any omission or error in sales literature, web pages or site, order form, quote, price list, order acknowledgment, shipping note, invoice, or other document issued by us may be corrected by us without liability. We will inform you of any changes at the time of booking or as soon as reasonably possible thereafter.
Late Cancellation Charges
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy, which means we must be notified before 2:00 pm the day before arrival about any cancellation or change to a reservation. On the day of check-in, no refunds will be made, and the first night of your reservation will be fully charged.
Discretion
All reservations are subject to availability, and Palafito Cucao Lodge reserves the right to refuse any reservation at its discretion.
Promotions
Promotions will only be valid until the published expiration date, and no exceptions will be accepted.
